Not paradice, but Tropical
« on: July 28, 2008, 02:51:10 PM »
Took a few shots of blooms just a few minutes ago.  Some have not opened all the way, others were closing.  I still had to take a few shots.

That purple tropical sure is happy in that little tub.  Its has several buds still to come up.

I likes.  I can't wait to see what they look like bloomed.  Please show us when they are open.  The purple is amazing.  Like a pastel color.  I think I'm in love.  o(:-)

I'll take some more pics tomorrow, or at least try too.  I"m off Wed, and my luck nothing will be blooming that day.

I wish I could get tropicals to do better for me. I would like to have more of them.

So pretty.

This is my first year with tropicals...I like them so far.  I'll know more next spring if I can winter them over.

That's how I was.  Got one or two a season.  But last year I overwintered them and they made it.  Alot of mine came from a forum member last year.  I bought some at the end of the season and through me in a bunch of little tubers that she found while she was cleaning out.

I would have had more, but I was working so much dh was suppose to be adding water to the lily tank in the little greenhouse and he didn't.  Some of them dried out to the point I couldn't bring them back.

This year I have bought 5 and got 6.  I've gotta stop, but their so pretty.  I'm in love with tropicals.  Total I guess I have about 20.
