I know its not loofa sponge, but it sure reminds me of those bath sponges.  It is weird looking growing on the falls, and a couple other shots.

Yes, its my skippy type filter.  I just stick a wh or two in at the beginning of the season and let'm grow.
It flows out making my waterfall.

Great pics Kim, and I have that same stuff in my waterfall too, from the spray but not actually in the falls.  I like the way it looks, so I leave it alone.  And maybe we could get rich, especially if we market it as an anti-aging organic ya-ya for the face!!   lol

I have the same stuff growing on my waterfall rocks. Not actually in the stream, but where the splash zone is. Every few weeks I pull some off it off, but leave the better looking chunks! I am pretty sure where it came from in my pond. Last year my Daugthers bought me a water lily and there was a GIANT Snail shell in the pot covered with the most beautiful Mossy Algae!!!  I took the snail shell and rubbed it on my waterfall rocks!! I know it probably was not the smartest thing to do!!!!!  But it turned out ok!  Here it stays green all year.

Mine isn't in the main stream of the falls either.  Kind of gets the splash/wicking over the rocks.  I like it too, I said something about it one day.  DH said, I've been pulling it off.  I said leave it, its cool looking.  Makes it look natural.
