Hi,
I'm new to the board but I noticed a lot of people have goldfish but i mainly see wakins or shubunkins, I was just wondering if anyone has or raises comet's. And is it just personal preferance that these aren't as popular?

I have 10 6 yr old goldies...5 are orange or yellow...does that count? The black/comet fry will out number the colored by far.

Can't see then for the lily pads now.

I have regular comets that started out as feeder goldfish from the pet store. I eventually have kept the ones I have like the most over the years & just now starting to breed watonai as I love goldfish that are sleek with long flowing fins.

My first pond started with red feeder fish about 8 years ago. Now only 3 of the original 12 remain.
Two of these red goldies have just turned white this year!
I have rescued other feeder fish from my other water plant pots and kiddie pools recently from the claws of the raccoons that have been doing take out in my yard
There are probably 6 nice red and orange 4" goldies. Very hardy fish.
