The only flukes I have are on my fish...... :D

He said he was new to computers and so I'm guessing the problem was on his end.  There have been times when I was not paying attention and thought I had posted something when in fact either my pc was slow or the server was slow and my response was not accepted when I clicked "post".  In the meantime, because I wasn't paying attention to what was on my screen I moved on and the message was lost. 

One weird thing has happened to me before both here and on another site and I have always thought it was a glitch on my end and this may be another possibility.  I will be writing a lengthy response ....kind of like what I'm doing here.... and as I am typing my cursor apparently leaves the page without my noticing and as I do my keystrokes I hear beep sounds and somehow click on a link or something that changes my screen and causes me to loose whatever I have typed.  It's weird and I really don't know how to explain it.  To combat this I now will periodically highlight everything and do a "copy" so I don't lose everything.....

Oh Mikey. On lengthy replies huh? Not that I would ever do a lengthy reply  :o but I have had that happen a few times too. It's like there is a gremlin in there and I'm typing away and all of a sudden the cursor is up on something on the tool bar and a box drops down and I have no idea how it got there. I also have lost several lengthy replies. But I just thought it was God's way of telling me to shut up.

Me Too!  I thought it was my computer - been through he-double hockey sticks - and while typing the curser moves around letting my typing land where it wants, go figure  ?)(?

Anytime I want to make a "lengthy" response i always use "NOTEPAD" that came with my computer or type it in in Microsoft Word.  I then copy and paste to the reply, that way, it i hit a wrong key i don't lose the wholw thing.
