We used to have a cat who would sit by the window and watch the birds outside. Her tail would twitch and she would make the strangest clicking sounds and little moans. Oh she just wanted to get at those birdies in the worst way.

So how many times did she jump up and hook her claws in the window?

Teresa, for a while there she was actually sitting on that little ledge by the window lock.
So she must've hooked herself on there pretty good!
I tried to get a pic of her jumping and pawing at the birds, but after 2 pix,
she was blinded by the flash (it was dusk when I took these shots)
and lost interest. Took an hour nap on that wicker loveseat until dinner time.

These are old original farmhouse windows (very drafty!) in the sunroom.
Big, clunky, and for now, deep enough ledges and sills for Alley to sit on,
precariously, while watching the birds. 8)

Esther, all my cats do that, the funny chirping, clicking sounds. Weird, huh? ?)(?
It's just a matter of time until this one figures out how to use the cat door. (8:-)

Looks like hours of fun for her.  The birds must have figured out that she's stuck in there and can't get them.   ;D

No wonder they run so fast.

Our kitties do it too. It's so much fun watching them.

My cats make the funny chattering noise when they see birds out the window too
