After Tropical Storm Fay My Pond is really trying to come back!
« on: September 14, 2008, 10:29:37 AM »
It is clearing up and the tropicals are blooming  @O@ See there is life after that much water....  I feel for all my brothers and sisters currently waiting to see what Ike did to their ponds and their homes. Saying a prayer for you. Just happy to see the plants are as resilient as ever!

I missed the comment about too much water. But the tropicals are sure pretty.

They went through a tropical storm.  Pretty rough.
I'm glad you have some things that survived in that pond.

Well considering that my dock was buried under all that water and the fish were everywhere I would say she is recovering  okay. The bass stayed in the pond while the catfish ventures out. I found fish the next day in small puddles  so I netted them up and put them back. I know I lost quite a few fish but enough  still exist to keep it looking good. I think I posted this picture once before but just for contrast...  I had a ton of herons and egrets in my pond (lake) now I have water lettuce where there wasn't any before some of it is even  out in the grass~!

The birds were probably having a sashimi feast.  Glad you didn't have too much damage.  The lilies look great...what storm?  :D
