« on: August 13, 2009, 01:00:40 PM »
Ok...While placing the osmocote on the plants I notice something funny in one of the minidauben leaf and you would not just believe it has a super mini vivip in it...ok now the question what do I do?....do you think it will make it through?
Pics will be uploaded tonight...

All of the pads from N. Dauben can potentially develop a new plant. All the pads will have vivips as the plant matures. If you are getting enough sun and fertilizer, once the plant matures you might just find blooming vivips still attached to the parent plant.

Cheers,
Sean

Well it gets 5 to 6 hours of full sun and when I mean full sun is a 105 or 107 degrees f. sun.
Thanks sean for the help.
So good to hear from the master of vivips..

I have a vivip from Amsterdam I believe that looks like it's doing that. It has a little root already, no pads yet but a bump.

I got around to planting up 5 or so of my vivips yesterday, whifch have been detached from the main plant and floating in the baby koi tub, and, danged if one of them didn't have a little bitty vip starting on the BOTTOM of the pad, as well as the larger one on the top.

I suppose those guys are just programed to grow, and will go to any measures to do so.

I never had any tropicals but now that I do they are awesome and it is so cool that  just from a single leaf you can get a full size plant exact replica so easy and fast....
I just love it.... o(:-)

I know I am expecting to get blooms soon..The dauben has 3 buds on it now...
Well I am going to town and try to get a bigger container for my tropicals since they are not in the shaded area, and I want them to grow as big as they can...
My dauben is doing so fine, I love this small lillie I even put a fish in there, hope it will it the algae growth.
My tropical nightbloomer is doing good too, the leaves get bigger day by day.
Joyce thanks for telling me to go ahead and use osmocote..I just love osmocote now...it works awesome.. @O@
BTW dora get off of that you are not suppossed to be there...look she even looked back to see who was spying on her while doing a funny escape..lol
