My girlfriend is on a limited income, and she had ordered some clothing items on line through one of her catalogs back in September. She had told me that she had to cancel the order because her funds were short and I know she hasn't reordered them. So I figured for a Christmas present I would complete that order and called the company. I gave her name and email and they found the order that was cancelled, so I re-ordered all the items (except one that is NLA). I created my own account so she wouldn't see them on hers, and they'll ship them to me.

Good idea or easy way out? I really don't think she'll expect it, so I'm hoping it will be a nice surprise. Otherwise, I'd never know what to get when it comes to clothing...I still can't figure it out.

(Unofficially... I think that's a cool idea. heheheheh. Guarantees you get her what she really wanted... as long as she doesn't change her mind suddenly and without notice.)

yeah, I know it's cheating, Roark...but of all the things she's 'hinted' at isn't that, in a way, cheating as well?

I just figured I could either get her what she hinted at (no surprise there) or get her something I already know that she wants but wouldn't ever suspect. It's hard to surprise her because she has ALWAYS guessed at what I get her. I, on the other hand, can never guess what she gets me.

after all...I AM a guy....can you imagine trying to order clothing items for a woman who is a size 2-4 depending on the item, and actually getting all the sizes right the first time? it's impossible unless you buy her a package of T-shirts (S-M-L...etc.)

Actually Blind, I think you had a great idea...she'll never suspect and it was what she wanted. I don't know about most women, but I really don't like surprises. And I haven't changed my mind about that yet.

I'm sure she'll appreciate receiving items she was originally going to buy.
I think its nice that you pay enough attention and care that she had to cancel the order. I'm sure she'll be surprised.

Thanks all...I was sitting here trying to figure out what to get her and then it kinda came to me that she might like the idea.

I know if I went to buy something I couldn't afford and someone else got it for me, I'd be ecstatic.

BTW - The gals I know have never complained about a boyfriend UNDER sizing a gift - but honey, you look so trim! On the other hand, never give a woman a Mumu... unless she's Hawaiian.

thanks....the stuff she had ordered was from a Venus catalog, she loves their stuff.

Since her birthday is Dec 31st....yeah, new years eve...it becomes a little expensive for me, but I want her to have a good Christmas and birthday this year. I'm going to go kinda light for Christmas so she won't suspect anything and then give her all the clothing for her birthday....it's about 6 or seven items that she wanted.
