Snow is great for gardens. What doesn't immediately freeze is protected from even colder temps and wind burn.
Then when things warm up, the snow melts slowly, and all that water gets into the ground, instead of running off.
We are experiencing a dry cold front today. The wind is howling. The wind will kill a lot of plants that snow could protect.
