Thanks,

I like the way I am able to rate FB advertisements and in so doing get ads more in line with my taste.....including pond ads.

I can?? I never paid any attention to the ads so didn't know that. I just figured they were a necessary evil. Ya don't often get something for nothing.

I have had a bunch of young girls with naughty pictures ask to be my friend on My Space. Not me, but the page I do for my high school reunion as the mascot. The mascots name is Rammy and he is a big horn sheep. The page clearly says it is for the class of 81's reunion. Most of these young girls are in Asia.

I keep getting flashing ads for single young girls too.

I really hate My Space but I keep the page up because I did find some of my high school classmates that were missing before previous reunions. One agreed to help me plan our 30th and she knows a lot of people that I don't and has been really helpful already. One turned out to live here in the Portland area. I didn't know her in school but I'm going to meet her now. :)

I prefer Facebook but still don't like the ads. My high school reunion page on Class Report.org has none. I'm spoiled.

I didn't know I could rate the ads? Tell us how.

Some ads cannot be rated but the small ads on the right hand side have a thumbs up or thumbs down icon you click on and then it asks what you liked or didn't like about the ads.

Yes, spiders go out and harvest personal info and email from My Space and then you get porn spam to the email addy you used for My Space.
Yup, I get the girls asking if I wanna see their pix too.  ::) That is why I have an email account for forums and stuff like My Space only.
My private email is never disclosed.
Only a few of you know it.  8)

It doesn't matter how you block out the ads, once you click on it, even to rate it...THEY HAVE YOUR NUMBER.  :P
They know you are looking at the ads. They start emailing you and bombarding you even more.
Popup blocker doesn't work against the 'Spine' ads. (each side of the screen)

I think I still have a My Space page but haven't accessed it in forever, and never bookmarked it so don't even know how to get to it.

I have no ambition to meet any of my old classmates,
I live in my hometown, we all know each other, they can come knock on my door if they wanna see me.
In fact, I'm not going to any more reunions either.
It's just not my thing.
I was a loner in high school anyway. What's the point?

I've been communicating with a former neighbor and junior classmate from high school.  Both I and the fetching Mrs. Mikey were friends with him.  Lost touch with him nearly 40 years ago.  It turns out we both moved some 80 miles away to Orange County and were likely neighbors.  His son is now attending the same university I graduated from.  He now lives in San Diego, a favorite weekend retreat for us, and we will try to meet up with him next time we are down there.

Another classmate from a different high school, a private Christian school, was recently telling me about our Bible study teacher being Pastor Chuck Smith who started the Calvary Chapel churches which now number over a thousand world-wide.  I attend a Calvary Chapel, but not Patory Chuck's, and I didn't remember him as an instructor until she mentioned a comment he made about looking forward to surfing during Christ's thousand year eathly reign and I too remembered that comment and suddenly I remembered him as our instructor...  weird....  When I looked in the yearbook, there he was...  It was soon thereafter he started preaching to surfers and "hippies" in Huntington Beach and started his tent church in Costa Mesa.  Next time I see Pastor Chuck I will have to tell him I knew him when..... ;D

Jerry.  Perhaps your 'new' friends are members of AP using their real name.  If that's the case they should be sending you a brief message of introduction so that you will recognize them.

I agree and have thought of that.
Classmates also can engender a lot of nonsense.  I fear I am heariong from old ladies seeking a husband.
