Tile design
« on: February 21, 2009, 07:21:19 PM »
After we tiled the bathroom, entry, and kitchen floors at the rental property, I decided to do this over the sink. Everything in the place except the floors is hospital white and I wanted to do something there to break up the whiteness. Seeing the tile was .77 @ and we had the glue and grout already, this is what I did.

I designed it on a large piece of paper at home and then cut the pieces at the duplex and placed them. I think it turned out pretty well.

You think they turned out pretty well?!?  You did a fabulous job!!!  If I had half your talent and energy I can't imagine how much I'd get done (or repaired!)

Excellent O0......I agree with Annette, if you could bottle your energy and craftyness you could make a small fortune. ;)

That really looks great!  People so often get in a rut and can't see beyond "square."  Putting tiles, even a few of them, as you did, on the diagonal really adds interest and opens up the space.

I started out thinking to put them all on the diagonal but then realized that all but one would have to be angle cut on more than one side. I decided it looked too much like work for a rental. LOL.
