Automatic Updates on Windows XP--
« on: March 07, 2009, 06:14:01 PM »
has been turned off somehow and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to stay on.  This has just happened, but when I Googled info, lots of people are having trouble with it.  I think because of not having the automatic updates, I have picked up a virus (Vundo? or something like that) and I am trying to figure out what to do.  Anyone have any suggestions?

It won't even let me go to the website and install manually b/c it says that some programs are not functioning properly.  The steps they give don't work either.  I'll bet this is a glitch that Microsoft knew about with XP.... >:(
