finally caught moondance in bloom. this one certainly lives up to its name - 2 nights in a row i've put the cover over it at dark, around 8:30 pm, and it was still open!!

One of the first two waterlilies I ever had was Moondance.

thanks to all. i must admit i'm surprised this one isn't more popular than it seems to be. but these pics from the second day bloom turned out to be its big show this time around. yesterday it just kind of opened to cup shape and today it just pryed open enough to see the yellow center.  however there are 2 more blooms coming along close behind it. weather here on the norcal coast has been quite eratic. mostly overcast and cool until today when the sun was out in force most of the day. but i seem to have lots of blooms on the way from several different varieties. just the same. i have probably had as many WH bloom this week as i have in the entire life of the pond.
