Stand-N-Fish has just completed the development of their exciting new, patent-pendin ng, fishing system for kayaks. The innovative system inc corporates pontoons and a leaning post in a quality an nd configuration that does not exist in today’s markett.

 The father & son team of Jerry and Rick Rosenberg worked diligently to create a system that fits any y sit-on-top kayak, installs/removes in seconds and is s very functional. “It is envisioned that a large portion oof our market will be retrofits on existing kayaks” stat tes Rick. “That is the beauty of this system!”

“The function of the pontoons iss really quite simple yet unique” says Jerry. The pont toons are raised and lowered from the cockpit by sim mply pulling the ”lift ropes”. With the pontoons “up”,the kayak is paddled unobstructed. When the fish hing destination is reached the pontoons are loweered (and lock into place) and the angler can stand and fish in comfort. Upon returning to shore the syste em quickly breaks down and fits in the smmallest of trunks for transport.

“The idea is that once in the stand ding position everything is at your fingertiips. There is no need

to sit down or bend over until yo ou are ready to paddle to a different sp pot” says Rick. Once staanding, the padded leaning post provide es: 2 rod holders, cup ho older, pliers holder, paddle keeper, tacklee tray and control of th he anchor or stake-out pole dependinng on the angler’s pr reference. From this extremely stable platform the angler wiill enjoy a vantage point that will allow w for the ultimate in fis sh stalking and stealth as well as 360 degree fishing and fig ghting. “It really takes kayak fishing to a a whole new realm” sa ays Rick. The system can be used in a nummber of applications inccluding lakes, bays and open water to ca atch everything from ba ass to tarpon and walleye to salmon. Bo oth spin/bait casters an nd fly fisherman will find the standing po osition preferable for spotting, casting to and fighting fis sh.

Weighing in at only 26 pounds, , the system is constructed from high h quality, salt-water resistant materials. All metal parts s are powder coated aluminum and stain nless steel, pontoons are polypropylene and the leanin ng post is Starboard marine polymer. WWith his mechanical engineering background Jerry assserts, “The quality and integrity of the system is very important to us. This is intended t to be a high-end fishing tool that will last t for years if properly maintained”.

The pair is in the process of settin ng up dealers in Florida with plans to ro oll out nationwide in the coming months. The Stand-NN-Fish system can be installed by either a dealer or the end user (or any handy-person). Installlation takes about 45 minutes for experieenced installers (and about 1.5 hrs for “first-timers”) annd requires only a few common tools a as well as a rivet gun that can be purchased at any hoome improvement store for about $200. List price for the complete system is $595(US). Als so, the leaning post and pontoon system m can be purchased separately for $399(US) (pontoon n system) and $229(US) (leaning post)..

Jerry, thats totally awesome! I just copied the link and shared it with our kayak fishing forum. There was a thread with people trying to stand and some pontoons, but nothing with the backrest like this. These guys are real creative and it's just a matter of time before they start posting up pvc homemade versions of it. Thanks dude,
