Manure with compost has fresh manure in it.
You don't want that...too 'rich'. Will burn your plant.  :o

You want to use plain compost or composted cow manure.

Whatever...if it's composted correctly, it will NOT have a bad odor...should smell like dirt.  8)

I used to when I had a shredder, now it takes forever.  yes I know, but I am not gonna be turning it all the time, too much to do as it is
