Birthday Getaway...

We are heading to Las Vegas this morning to celebrate my birthday tomorrow @O@ I am so excited as I have never been there before. Will post a few pics when I get back.

Loads to see and do in Las Vegas, much of it free. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

The Flamingo has a inner garden area with koi ponds and lots of tropical plants and exotic birds. The Bellagio has an indoor greenhouse/atrium where they do seasonal displays of potted flowering plants. Well worth viewing and their fountains out front are nice to watch too.

I'm not a gambler.  Spent most of my trip taking tours to places like Hoover Dam, and other educational places.  So remember - there's a lot to see and do outside of the casinos and restaurants.

I'm not much of a gambler either. My former work used to send us to Las Vegas and we always had a great time without much gambling. The first three trips I won money though. Just randomly playing dollar slots. We've seen a couple shows too and just walked up and down the Strip in and out of all the casinos checking everything out. There is a lot of good food to be had too but not cheap anymore. I really want to eat at Emeril's and Bobby Flay's but the price is way out of the budget.

I've been through the Star Trek Experience three times, very sorry they closed it. They are going to be sorry since the new movie is a huge hit. No reason to go off the Strip and to the Hilton without it being there.
