That's a little beauty! My pond is on my back deck, which is about 12 feet off the ground since my townhouse is on a slope. Everything I have is in pots since I have no real 'ground' to speak of.  I like your choice in plants and the fountain.

Ty Kabuki ....i know how it feels to live 12 feet off the ground...cause my house is 12 feet off the ground.....where i live we have to build our homes high off the ground so we don't get flood water in our home from the hurricanes.....

The one time I went to Louisiana was the year before Katrina. I didn't see a lot of the state, but we did travel to see some of the old plantation houses outside New Orleans. Its a beautiful state. I wanted to keep driving, but we had little time. I only saw a glimpse of Lake Ponchetrain, but I loved the people everywhere we went. Hurricanes terrify me.

Nice pond Cricket. I live nearby, in southeast Texas and Ike paid us a visit. This tree took off the corner of our house and slammed our deck...

The stump ball was huge...

Another got the living room...

This was the view from the front porch the morning after..

We went back to the stone age after Rita, here's the clothes dryer..

The refinery got smashed, there was tons of debris, heavy metal. We had a backhoe and a 4 wheel drive forklift dragging tons of metal out to the road. Under it all we found a small miracle. A kitten born in the eye of the storm, it's eyes weren't even open yet. It survived the hurricane and the demolition. I brought it home and Sassy raised it like one of her own...

He grew into a really cool cat..

No wonder we can't get anything done in this part of the country, just about the time we repair all of the hurricane damage another one comes in. But I digress, cool pond, keep us posted and batten down the hatches, its hurricane season again.

Never leave your partner, especially in a fire.
