I need to get a hold of a Nymphaea 'Louise Villemarette' for the IWC.
Does anyone know of a source for the real deal?

It looks like we tracked one down from one of our behind the scenes people.

Frank,
Does it set seed readily?
The real deal does and that is why we want it, for a specific cross attempt.
That is what Kirk Strawn used for some of his later hybrids, the most famous being N. Colorado.
If so, what would you want for one?

Strange you should ask that. I am not a collector of seeds, but I noticed a lot of seedlings in with the mother plant two years ago. Before I replied I wanted to make sure that I would be sending you a start from the mother plant because despite trying to get rid of all seedlings, I found one that had grown in the pot with the mother plant. I am posting pic of it. I know that what I would send you is from the original tuber. From personal history, this evidently sets seed easily.

Joe and Louise Villemarette live in Oklahoma City and were well aquainted with Perry Slocum and Kirk Strawn before there passing. The Villemarettes were long time owners of Patio Garden Ponds in south Oklahoma City untill retiring last fall. Some years back Joe was really excited when he told me of the lily being named after his wife Louise. I am still in contact with Joe and Louise on occasion. If I can be of help let me know.

Hey Frank,
I just got home and it is waiting on me.
I am going out to plant it before it gets totally dark.
Thanks,
Tim
BTW I posted feedback for you.
