I like the gentle curve that now hides the liner and it's folds that were an eyesore.

That's really elegant around the pond. I love flagstone.

My neighbor just ripped out 2 1/2 bathrooms of slate tile, and then, naturally, dumped it at the curb.
I posted it on Freecycle.com. Maybe some ponder will come along and pretty up his own yard like Jerry did.

Yes and it was a lot more than I bargained for. Now when I see flagstone I see many flaws. Mine isn't too bad. I am talking about use of mortar. The stones are pretty forgiving.

Great job Jerry. I'd really like to do that but I'm wondering if you ever have to replace the liner how you would go about it? Perhaps dig out from under the flagstone and tuck the new liner under it?

Nicely done
...projects like that always seem to be more work than expected but the finished product is usually a source of pride...or more projects.

Working with any stone can be a pain in the rear. I used stone veneer to decorate my outdoor kitchen. The mortar was messy. They tell you to use a cake like decorator to squeeze into the spaces of the flagstone, but it's not that easy. You have to make sure the consistency of the mortar is correct. That's exactly why I am afraid to do my own tile work in my house. I would have see saw tiles.

Bullfrog: The stone I removed had the liner stuck to it in places, just trimmed it off, easy.
