For Joyce - mosquito granules?
« on: July 10, 2009, 05:26:07 AM »
Joyce,

Where did you say you got your mosquito granules from?  I want to mix some in my soil per your receipe for the BT so I don't have to bother spraying the water lily pads.  I have mosquito dunks floating in the water, but still get some caterpillars, so maybe it floating in the water is not getting into the plant systemically.  I found the dunks at Lowes and Home Depot, but have not seen it in  granular form anywhere.

My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

I know I'm not Joyce, but I get mine in little 'plastic' packets at Walmart.  I cut the packs open and sprinkle the grains.  You can toss in the pack and the plastic will dissolve.

Yep, those are the ones.
When you repot, dump some on the bottom of the pot, about a half cup per pot.
If you're not repotting, just sprinkle it in, about a teaspoon a week per container.

I think I got mine at Agway.  8)
