The Halloween party's over but the costume was fun.....
« on: October 30, 2006, 11:41:11 AM »
Well here it is. We dolled it up and went to 2 parties this weekend, now tomorrow will be the last show for this costume. I wear the top and boots as regular clothes sometimes but the skirt is a bit too short for my everyday taste.   We decided against corpsepaint for the face, too much trouble. Just did some black hairspray and dark makeup.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!

We did have a good time, but I couldn't bend over. I have a couple of friends who go all out for Halloween. One group of girls actually went to a dentist last year and had him BOND ON real vampire fangs for them. After a week they went back and he ground them off. Another couple we know gets a mutual friend who is an optometrist to make a new pair of costume contacts for them every year. One year it was red for vampires, this year it was white-out for ghosts.

That's why I always take my costumes out of my closet....I won't spend that kind of money on stuff like that. Being the long term Heavy Metal/Goth/Punk music fan I have been all my life, I have a lot of clothes that people look at and call "costumes". Granted I don't wear them to the grocery, but my date clothes are different from a lot of women's date clothes. I have gotten away from corpsepaint over the past few years though...just too much trouble.

The miniskirt I wore in this I am actually sharing with my 11 year old. Its hers. Because she's 4 inches shorter than me its a wee tad more "modest" on her. But we wear the same size. I have a few leather minis but they were too "old" and I wanted to update this year!
