Thanks everybody. It was fun to build. It took about 30 hours and is about 120 ft long and 5 ft deep.
I put a bunch of topsoil in the pond before filling on the big pond side. I will start planting it in a few days after I reroute some electric fence to keep deer out
I need to finish the overflow pipe installation and then I can mulch it and plant grass seed.
It should be a very fertile pond, and probably my sunniest so far. And that's pretty sunny.
No trees Jerry, to shady for the lilies . Maybe a grape arbor. There's a vegetable garden below the new dam and between the three ponds. Below water level for irrigation by syphon.
I'm like you Kat, There's never enough room for all of the lilies that I want !
