These guys are said to get 5 foot leaves. An ideal location too.

Those are really cool. I have some (maybe the same thing?) planted in a pot. The tuber? bulb? was softball-sized. I bought it on a whim just because I HAD to see what came out of that thing
I'll have to get a shot of mine to share. I'd probably do much better in the soil, but I didn't want to try to dig it up come fall.

I find , maybe coincidence, that in a pot with a light soil mix they produce lots of pups

That's true. I was just looking at it and there's three pups on the plant. Maybe that's another reason that the plant isn't HUGE like I was expecting.

They look nice Jerry. I may have to try one again. I had one near the pond several years ago but it eventually died. Even when alive it never looked as good as the large one you have there. I think my problem was lack of regular watering as I did not have my drip system installed then and had to water things by hand.....
