A Minor movie dilemma. Do I link?
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:17:22 PM »
Here is my problem with linking you guys.

1 ego. I am a lot lighter now.  Look awful too.  They wanted me to to fit the character

2. Pretty nasty language.  I don't write this stuff, but I do utter it.

3. the school is Biola. = Bible Institute of  Los Angeles

4.  There is a bus scene that has nothing to do with the film.  Why it's there I know not!
I know you all see plenty of profanity in  the movies.  But God knows we have been in poor taste as have many of you.  I have been told I post too much and I can be a royal pain
So you decide.

I got a call back for a major film.  It is down to me an 24 other "Grandpa" types.
This is one brutal business.

Sure, no harm in sharing the link.  We have been warned.....  The fetching one's uncle and a cousin were past presidents of Biola....which is now located in La Mirada.

I agree Jerry. If I don't want to hear something I have been warned about, I will not click on the link. Kinda like when somebody says something here I don't appreciate. I can give my opinion and then not go back to it. Simple. Each of us has a different level of what we are personally comfortable with. Probably mine is a lot more strict than yours. That's OK, I know we are not carbon copies.

WHAAAA, you post too much???? OH my,  :o then that certainly speaks volumns to me. I guess it's better to be a royal pain than an unroyal pain.

The young man Matt, was terrific.  Very professional.  Yes he wrote it.  I wished I had helped him.
He is a student!  Keep that in mind.
Ponderer:  We do it to build a reel to show out talent or lack of.
I have a call back for a big time feature Film because of an audition. I got the audition because of a reel. If one doesn't do it we are through. Unless you are a gorgeous girl with no scruples.
Also, when you commit you don't know exactly what will happen.  We don't commit to do junk. Sure it happens, but no way to know. We were treated royaly by Biola.  Id work for Matt anytime.
Actors have walked out when faced with nasty things.  Some will do anything.
I was offered "Jimmy Kimmel"  I chose not to. Turns out it was mistake. The guys did not have to do the things Id never agree to.  ya never know.

Young actors build relationships.  Steven Spielberg went to USC film school.
I am too old to wait for a student to become a Spielberg.  If one is 25 fine.

I did "Gray's Anatomy" we were treated awful. :'( Yeah good food though!.
The good news it was at the VA 3 minutes from home!
The gig lasted 17 hours!  never again!  All one can do is keep on hustling!  Maybe get lucky.

So where is it?  I am thinking....... ::)

I liked the movie but I wanna know who took the ticket...........I think it was the store guy myself cause your character wouldn't do that. The store guy giving that boy the bug infested do-nut was a nice gesture? hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe in hard times it is. Nice school bus driver.............  and all, boozing it up..........nice talker too! Don't think I wanna live in that town. Your character seemed to like coming there to seek friendship as everyone needs some but just too proud to let anyone know.  I'd enjoy reading the others comments about it. The flower in the beginning says a lot..............one strange place for a beautiful flower to sprout and bring some beauty in that place! I guess when it comes down to it we are all just won in a million.

Jerry, I don't want to go to any links.  Just tell me the name of a / movie(s) you have been in, and I'll rent them on NetFlix.

That wasn't that bad. It had some good morals to it. You're a pretty good actor. :)
Happy ponding,
