The police report showed up in the local paper today, here's a link to it...

Yup, we have over 600 acres of sod.  8)
Here are some pix of our sod fields, workers, harvesting sod, that I took last year...

Six hundred acres is a serious enterprise.  Beautiful grass by the way. Do you have to reseed after each cutting?

In our area farmers usually farm several sections (640 acres)  Dh only farms one now that he is retired.  We have 100 acres of native grass and the rest is usually winter wheat or "laid out" for the next year.  His dad/him have farmed this place for 60 years now.

I'm really surprised that those kids do not have to see a child psychologist, at least for evaluation.  Vandalism is one thing but those kids were shooting a gun knowing that there were people inside their targets that could be shot.  That's very different than stealing a candy bar, spray painting some buildings or even just breaking windows after hours.  To top it off they showed no concern that they could have hurt or killed someone saying that they were only Guats and probably illegal.  There is something wrong in those kids noggins.  They need more that a spanking and a little community service.  I really think they need some serious counselling.  As for working in a kennel I don't think I would trust them around the animals.  They might think of another initiation game or think it's fun to hit or kick the animals or worse.  I'm sure the kennel doesn't have enough staff to have someone stand guard over them the whole time they are there.
Shot, beaten, starved, sold for medical research...
No wonder they run so fast.
