What TV show are you looking forward to the fall return of?
« on: September 13, 2009, 02:37:33 PM »
For me, it's NCIS!!! I have been watching the reruns on the USA network. But I'm really tired of being able to name the episode within the first 5 seconds!!!!

I'm also looking forward to the next Amazing Race whenever it returns. Right now I'm watching HGTV's Design Star but it finishes up tonight.

We have a few we are waiting for: Breaking Bad, Lost, Survivor, Amazing Race and The Riches (don't know if this one is coming back) but I thought it was a fun, different kind of whacky show  :D. Oh yes and for awhile they had the show Dexter a basic channel (Based on Jeff Lindsay's novels Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department. He is the main support for his sister. He has a steady girlfriend, with two kids who adore him. He also has an active "night life". Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don't get away with a crime again. Basically he is a good serial killer  :o.

We just started watching NCIS about a month ago, reruns of course. LOve it, especially Ducky and is it Gabby the lab gal. I like Desparate Housewives and Extreme Makeover. Oh and Grey's Anatomy. Guess that's about all. I have the TV on a lot but don't watch it much.

Mad Men, Hung  ( a lot better than it sounds)  season one of "Californiacation" was wonderful (Netflix)  Season 2 has my wife a bit ruffled!  A lot ruffled actually.  It is a bit much, but well done.

Which one of the guys won Design Star? I slept through it. :(
I'm anxious for NCIS as well and NCIS LA. Doll House, House, Greys Anatomy, Smallville, and Supernatural. Well some of that is my husbands choices as well. I hope the Sarah Conners Chronicles returns but I haven't seen anything about it.

Kay, Antonio ended up winning it. They both did a really good job with their houses, though. I think it came down to how they did throughout the whole competition. The judges talked about previous challenges and brought up some of the rooms Antonio had done in them. And then they mentioned Dan's white wall challenge and how it was the best one they had ever seen. But Antonio had done the rock room for the little boy, the work station room for the celebrity, the pink geese in the family room, the house makeover yesterday, that all combined with his unique hosting style was probably why they chose him. Dan's hosting was better this time. He finally lost the "giggling" so it was MUCH better!!!! Next week "The Antonio Project" will be on. It said it will follow Antonio as he makes over his house. I don't know if that is his show or not. If so, that was quick. I don't even think last year's winner has their own show yet!!!!

It was funny. I said from the very first show I wanted Dan or Antonio to win!!!! I'm glad Antonio won. I liked him from the white wall challenge. When that one girl couldn't get her room done because she had to totally change everything because all of the cups kept falling off the wall. He had his room done early and he came over and helped her. I thought that was a classy move and I liked him from then on.

I'm SO happy Antonio won. He is a class act, very passionate about his designs and not willing to back down. His style of decorating isn't really my style but he is very innovative and I think he will make a great host. My husband thought Dan would win because he's a pretty boy. I thought Dan's designs were nice and more my style but a bit too cluttered while Antonio's were sleek and minimalist. I'll be watching for his show and maybe I can stay awake this time. Hopefully they will rerun the last one as well. Thanks for letting me know.

I'm anxious for Heroes and Lost. I'm going to be interested to see the new show Trauma, however I'm afraid its going to be an over-the-top, blown out of proportion drama that's nothing like real life and will be annoying to watch since I'm in EMS. ::)
I was anxiously awaiting the return of Sons of Anarchy but wasn't impressed with the first show last tues. Not sure I will continue to follow it.

Sarah Conner Chronicles was cancelled.
The Riches was cancelled.  I loved that show. I thought it was fun to see what zany plan they had next to cover their butts. LOL!
I also liked Dirty Sexy Money and wish it hadn't been cancelled.

This is a list of shows returning for 2009-2010.

Thanks for the list, Shanna. I hadn't seen an official list of what was returning. I noticed a list of cancellations from there so I looked at it. I hadn't realized that "Crusoe" had been cancelled. I didn't see much of it this past year but the few I saw were really good. I think it was just stuck in a bad time slot. I hate to see it go. I wish they'd try it in another time slot. There are FAR worse shows on TV that they try every where and they seem to stay on FOREVER!!!!!

I noticed "Bones" was renewed for 2 years. I didn't know they ever did that. I really like that show alot, too. Sometimes it can be a bit gruesome but not any worse than CSI or NCIS!!!! My neighbor is a surgical nurse and she said she can't watch the CSI shows. She says they are WAY too gruesome for her!!!!

Thanks for the link..I hate that SCC was cancelled. That sucks. Most of the new stuff looks boring. I may watch Mercy but it may be too juvenile.

FOOTBALLLLLLLLL!!!!!

House, Bones, Chuck (not til spring), 24 (not til next year), Eureka (season ends this Friday), can't wait to see the boys back from the North Pole on Big Bang, and college basketball season starts soon (go Tarheels!).  That is enough TV.  Need to spend more time in the yard...
