Been tweaking the pond again.
« on: November 09, 2006, 02:38:18 PM »
I never liked the liner showing when I revamped my pond this spring and took all the rocks out. I took out all the gravel and rocks and put in bottom drains. I did not get the rocks quite where I wanted them before it got to hot to work on the pond. So I have started again and am almost through.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!

Well I did finish moving all but a couple of rocks this week. The only ones left to do dont bother me too much. I got both sides of the stream mouth finished where most of the liner is hid. I think I am through for a while now. Just have to pull up the impatiens if they ever die this year. I still need to dig up the alocasia too. leaving all the taros out. The green and redstem have been coming back for a couple of years now. I hope the others do next year.

I always get jealous of people who have success with the impatients in the stream.

By the way what's with two dogs? I thought I remembered when you got the one dog. Now I don't remember the name.

It's breathtaking!  And at first I was confused by your new name, I was thinking, "hmmm, Gary also has a pond just like that".   :D
