I picked this date because it is historicaly ideal weather. Not this time. 103 is the forecast! Yikes.

Yah, we have had lovely weather for about a month but last night it rained and today is overcast and misty. We needed the rain though.

103!! I can't imagine being that hot. When it's in the 90s here, everybody wilts.

Did Mikey bring some Passion Fruit ice cream?

It's not the heat, it's the humidity! Very dry here.
I'd say it went well. As the host I will leave it to others. A very compatible group

I enjoyed the partay!

Jerry and Elaine catered to our every whims and we all got a plant (or two

) straight from his greenhouse! It was my first time to Jerry's and all the photos he takes of his garden....I recognized every location. Totally amazing!

All the Mikes were there!

Got to meet Argos/ Steve and Michael's friend, Diane! Unfortunately I did not take photos, everything looked so familiar.

Thank you Jerry for getting the Cali bunch together!!! Thank you to for the agave plants! And mostly thank you for keeping us cool inside...phew! That I am so grateful for with all the heat out there!

Yes indeed it was fun getting together again. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate but we did take the time to tour Jerry's garden a couple of times before retreating inside. The pond looked great. Elaine must have seen me enjoying her brownies because she gave me a stash to take home....

Argos: Is your first name Steve or Bryan? I thought it was Steve/Steven and I notice below that Annette uses Steve but at the party you were introduced as Bryan/Brian..... I'm so confused...

Mikey, my name is Brian...I don't know if it's accurate but I was always told as a child that Brian was the Irish way of spelling it and Bryan was the English way...fortunately, there were three Mikes there so it was easy for me to remember names

haha...not sure about me there, Jerry!

One of my best friends told me it wasn't hot out...he said it was nice. He loves desert temps and it doesn't bother him when it's 105º. So I asked him why he moved his dune buggy into the garage and he said his tools got too hot sitting out in the sun. I told him, "Your tools aren't hot. They're nice".

The garden/yard and pond looked great. I wouldn't mind having a few more plants/trees in my yard so I won't have to mow this little patch. But that would be down the road a ways...maybe just on the hill for all that stuff ... for now...
