pond tonight(snow pics)
« on: November 10, 2006, 06:45:38 PM »
Had our first big snow today and I had to work twelve hours so missed a daylight picture, but had to dress up and take one in the dark. Of course picture do not capture the beauty of the snow.

Great shots.  I agree, I like the 2nd one better.  Warm and colorful.

Your yard and pond are absolutely lovely . . . . but I think I'll stay as far away from that first pic as I can . . . .

I always enjoy the pictures of your pond, even the winter one.  I love snow!  We don't get much here, wish we would get an occasional big snow like we did when I was a kid.

It's beautiful, summer or snow. I love how the cover of snow defines a pond. Everything else is gone, only the pond remains. That first snow is one of my favorite things.

What is that building on the right of the picture? Is it a part of your house or an outbuilding? Whatever it is, it's lovely.

Thank you all for your nice comments.
As I have said before I lurk and learn from all of you.
The forum has taught me tons, and I thank you all for sharing your ponding experieces.

Kareen, the tree/shrub is a Artic blue leaf willow.

Karen J, the building is my yard shed, helps to have a carpenter husband.
Here is a better pic of shed. and the backside
