it's early to have h2o temp below 55 but it is never the less . local pond store recommends a different food is that a good idea and when does one stop feeding altogether . . .peace...........00ps, that's zone 5

In spring and fall before water reaches 70 or when it goes below, change to spring and fall food. Stop feeding by 50. We're talking water temp, not air. Evidently their digestive systems can't process the high protein stuff when their bodies are functioning slower because of the cold.
