I think you should be able to grow it, Jerry. I am wondering the same thing about my Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang). Its rated to zone 9, I am almost there. I have a very very nice seedling that's growing pretty fast. I have been wondering if I can let it get big (I mean, REALLY BIG) in a container and try to plant it out here. I know everyone will say "No" to me, but I really think I may try it in a few years. I can't keep it greenhouse forever, it will become too large to toy with. There are more than a few examples here in Gainesville of trees that aren't really supposed to be here that are here and have been growing here for 10-30 years.
