If your are talking about the ama I think you are, I sent it to Kit earlier this season.<g> I rarely pay attention to the second day flowers because I have butchered them for pollination purposes on the first.
I've never grown any of the backcrossed hybrids. I tend to grow only the two species for the seed and any LH I grow are invariably out of my ponds by the time the pads hit 10". I don't do backcrosses, so there is no sense in keeping the LH around.
Of the ones I do grow....LH are far and away the easiest, ama not too bad as long as the water is kept hot...but cruziana give me fits every year! It is a good year if I get enough cruz to survive to provide seed for the next year, I don't think I've ever had a surplus.
