We believe what we want to believe...
« on: December 13, 2009, 10:48:05 AM »
The link below is an interview conducted by Lord Monckton with a Greenpeace member at the Copenhagen Climate Summit.  Monckton holds views contrary to most of those attending this summit.  Were I to be insulted by someone I should hope it is done by Lord Monckton because he has such a classy way of doing so.......

The video brings two things to mind:

 - We tend to believe what we want to believe.  That is true for me....

and

 - Our awareness of what is occurring in our world is pretty much determined by the views of media editors and where we shop around for our news.  Editors determine what we read or hear; whether it is front page or page 16, and although they generally don't control the content, they control the headline or title of the news article.  Their objectiveness, or lack thereof, can shape our views and lead us to the truth or away from the truth.
