I have to admit, I miss the weather in the bay area. I lived in the east bay of San Francisco for twelve years where I was introduced to my first pond, which came with the rental house. My back patio was wall to wall cactus of almost every variety, even some from death valley. In the spring and early summer all of the cactus bloomed. Sometimes the fragrance was overwhelming. When I moved back to Washington state I left all of the cactus behind with a neighbor that also collected cactus.
I have a son living in Ramona, CA, and the weather there is just awsome. I can't wait to go visit him again.
