If you think that your question is dumb, imagine how totally stupid you will look if you don't ask it.

Speaking of "Deliverance"  I did chat with Burt R and asked how the found that awful man.
He said he himself spotted him at a car race in NC.  he knew he was perfect.  He asked if the guy if he would like to be in a movie.  He said yep. Burt said you will be doing such and such (picture the scene) the guy replied... ready ?  "I've done worse!"

Lest you think I pal around with stars, it's not the case. This was an abondened gas station set up for an outdoor lunch.  We shot across the street. "Burt" was not in the film, but part of the investors. I think.
Yes, everyone was asking questions

We mock this guy but I bet he wouldn't want to swap places with any of us.  He likely lives a simple care-free life and will probably out live all of us.

I bet you're right. Most people don't know where their food comes from anymore. They get it at the supermarket in shrink wrapped meat trays.
This guy is just out there gathering his own meal.

I know where my food comes from, I raise most of it.  I just didn't like the way he went about hunting his turtles.  It always creeps me out to see animals tossed around in heaps.  Call me too sensitive but I was uncomfortable with his rebel yell and backwoods attitude.  I certainly wouldn't want to trade places with him and I also live a simple, fairly care-free life because that's the life I have chosen.  I don't know if he's chosen his way of life or he's content to stay put where he is.   :P
