"Trash" in that article means the plastic... not the people who throw the plastic into the wild, where the Albatross mommies pick it up.  {nono}

Well, either way...TRASH!! My DH looks at me funny when we are in a park or public place and see trash and stop and pick it up. Usually I growl a bit at the same time about the "stupid" people. Notice how many bottle covers are in the mix. Are they from bottled water?

For as long as I can remember, I've always cut up those plastic rings that hold six-packs together. Way back when, there was a report about how birds got their legs caught in those things and couldn't get them out.
Never in a million would I have thought they would eat the caps.
