Greg,

A VERY nice website for the Neighborhood organization.  If I were to change anything, i would switch the Logo and the first photo, just because I'd rather look at a large pic of the beautiful mountains than an "M".  The video could be a little larger also, but these are just personal preferences and worth exactly what you paid me for them.

As an old sign man, I'd say lose the "typed" look and use a few nicer fonts.  Not too many, just a few.
looks like a great idea. O0

Maybe you could work in a mountain scene behind the M and fill up that huge white blank area.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas, they have been implemented. M has ben over-layed into our mountains, and the movie has been made larger and set into the middle of the header. Jerry, I kept the font the same as my wife specifically picked out Lucida bold has her preferred font, (she had over 150 to choose from) and you know what they say, happy wife happy life!!

Thanks again everyone for the help!!

I can't see the whole page on my screen, and have to keep scrolling back and forth.  I wouldn't spend much time on that page, if I had to keep doing that.

I had the same comments about the "M."   I still see just a large "M" at the top - no mountains or anything else, although you said you have changed that.  Also, I would like to see the entire name, not just "M."

As for other comments, until I can see the entire page without scrolling, I really can't see enough to be able to tell what I like or don't like about the site.  The orange color is good, though, and fonts & colors are readable.

Two more "tweaks" I wold prefer:

Move the "W" off the mountain, which is gorgeous without, but sullied with, and place the "W" in the unused space between the Mountain and the video.

Per Julles suggestion, place upcoming events on page 2, which would allow making the pic and video even larger!

My opinion, worth every penny you paid me for it...................

Thanks again everyone for the comments, I will work on them tomorrow.

Does anyone else have the same size issue as Julies? If so, any ideas on how I can rectify the problem? Below is a screen shot of my labtop, this is the same view that I have on my computer at work, I have tried it with Safari, Firefox, IE 7 & IE 8, all look fine, I don't know what I should change.

I don't care for the "M" on the mountains. The video is blank and won't play for me.
I would take the "M" out and use a nice font and typeset Mountain Gate into your banner. Is the "M" actually attached to the sign or is it added to the photo. Either way, I would take it out.
Make that picture a little larger too.

Move the video down and incorporate it below the first element "Welcome to Mountain Gate."

Something like this is what I'm thinking just so you can get the idea but use the whole name "Mountain Gate"

I would prefer the top left photo to be larger so that I could see it better.  The background mountains can't be seen very well.

I dislike websites that automatically start playing music or video.  I often am listening to something else on my pc and then I must find out where the music is coming from so I can shut it off.
