Mom's Surgery was longer than expected but the surgen was pleased with the outcome. She is off the ventilator and uncomfortable, but all signs are good.

That's good news!

Amazing what is possible with modern medicine...
A friend of mine went in for a stent. Then went in his groin vein and put the stent it on Saturday morning. He was back at home on Saturday evening, and at work on Monday.

Yep pretty impressive. My mom's incision was about 3 inches long, no chest cracking. . .

Mothers chest was cracked and they had to go back in the same night BUT all went well in the end.  She stayed in the hospital a week and one month later the surgeon said he doesn't need to see her again and the cardiologist says he'll see her in six months.

I came home today.  I have floating pads and need to clean filters and do water changes.   ;D  Things can sure change in 7 weeks.

Oops!  I just saw this thead. Sorry for the delay in responding.  It's been nucking futz here.

Dad is doing well!  Amazing recovery really, for someone who isn't exactly a spring chicken.  His biggest concern is he's bored.  He misses being able to putter around the garage (can't lift anything yet) and work on his projects.  Other than this however, no complications, and he feels quite good.  His cardiologist says to call in a month or so.  @O@
