Feedback for trades, etc.
« on: August 15, 2006, 07:38:14 PM »
Good idea!
I've already started making positive feedback for many of you!

Now question.. .what is someone just dislikes another.. is there a way to view who left feedback if it is negative just for someone being hateful?

Not that anyone would ever do such a thing but occasionally we are visited by trolls.....

Okay to answer my own question ::)
You can click on the # of trades and it will show you the response and the trader/buyer info.

Everyone should participate in this.. great idea!

Thanks Sean and Jerry! O0

I can make edits if needed. Hopefully people will be truthful and not go out of their way to harm.

I think that will be a very rare occasion Sean.
As we know occasionally that some people have nothing better to do. >:(-

just wondering how plants for postage would be classified? Sean, perhaps you could add that to the choices along with buyer, seller, and trade. I've got someone i really want to leave a positive feedback for but it really doesn't seem to fit the other categories!!

Don't mean to appear stupid, (but if the shoe fits) it's just that I cannot find the feedback area at all.  Not sure how to check someone's feedback or how to post feedback to someone.  I do know that we have some wonderful traders on here . . . .

I am unable to add to the software but I believe that plants for postage would easily fit under trades and you can state in your feedback that the person sent it to you for postage.

I think that it's a great idea too. Hopefully if some one has a problem with a trade they will try to work it out with the person before posting negative feedback.

Good idea!  I haven't been posting much (I have trouble with the forum timing out, think it's my computer being stupid!), and I haven't been doing much selling or trading this year.  But I think it's a great idea!

As with eBay, I believe feedback is fair. We have had people who are difficult to trade with in the past and people should be aware of this prior to a purchase or trade. Most of the people here have been so generous they send for nothing but a Thank You. Several have done this to me and I thank you all.

Sean, once we have submitted feeback is there a way to change it? On two that I left I forgot to change the default from buyer to trade?

I can "Delete", users can not. Send me an email to sean@americanponders.com or a Private Message with the information you would like removed and I will do it for you. You'll just need to repost your feedback.

Cheers,
Sean

With the first one, I did the same thing but I don't think that's no biggie as long as it's a positive.

Also definately.. anytime that a person is dissatisfied, they should definately contact the other party.  Thats one reason I always try to find out what size starts a person is sending so I can send the same size or larger.  Or is something is small, I let the person know ahead of time so they'll know what to expect.
Communication is a good thing! :)

Yes Bonnie communicating what each party expects is very important...whether selling, buying or trading.....
