More sun than fire.
« on: May 07, 2010, 08:01:24 AM »

This is Sunfire's first flower of the year.  As usual it's doing it's spring freakout but this time it has more yellow than I've seen before. It's probably the lightest colored I've seen also.

I have lots of them now and it will be fun to see what they all do this spring.  This is turning out to be a regular spring event !

Next spring I should have massive beds of Sunfire all blooming in yellow and pink at the same time.you can't see but the sepals are held down against the stem and they are very dark pink.
