The color matures as they grow. Some patterns clarify, some get muddy.
What were the parents like?
If they were not much alike, then you may end up with a lot of muji - the japanese polite term for bait of a single color.

Looks like you have quite a few in there.  How big are they ?

When do they even have small fry (is that what they are called) ?  What time of year ?

Mine are goldish with (I think) 2 Koi.

The black ones in my pond are comets.  Its odd.. some start out small and orange, some huge and black before they turn.

the only black i have are the koi one silver and black stripes the other yellow and black stripes I will keep you posted to what they become I have about 30 and giving them away to friends and people with ponds. I dont want to over crowd the fish.I dont think goldfish and koi get together not sure?

If the parents are the two hariwake, you should have shiney babies. And I see a few with some shiney peeking out underneath the black.
If the parents are a mix, you are going to get unstable genetics that tend back to the brown/black carp.

The babies that have shine, look for uniform color.
The babies that aren't shiney are bait. Sorry.
 :-\

Koi genetics is VERY complicated. Its almost impossible to randomly produce "good" fish. But that's by the show standards. If you just want good pond guardians - they will all be good citizens.
