Spend mothers day just enjoying the yard and took a few pictures of some of my first blooms, things are just starting to open here.....

I made a planter last year with a bareroot hosta to see if it would overwinter and it did...

I got 4 more bowl lotus this year, this is now home to two of them, goodbye bog, hello lotus

One of my small lilly ponds, first bloom Attraction and some type of purple flower that I think might be gonna take over, anybody know what it is?

I am loving my knockout roses....

I can't believe you have roses blooming already! My knockouts are putting on new growth, it will be a while before they are blooming. Your gardens are beautiful--it's amazing how far ahead of us you are and only a few hours difference! Just the very early things here are blooming: iris, columbine, coral bells. I do have a lily throwing up pads, spiderwort thinking about making buds--but it frosted here again last night! All my pots went into the garage AGAIN...

lugged them back out again this morning and uncovered the things I couldn't carry. This is getting old.

Wow, very beautiful. Love your flowers. I never was crazy about the knock out roses,till neighbor got some to line his drive...wow they are REALLY pretty. Iam sold...will have to try and get one or two of them. Thanks for sharing.....

Georgeous yard , pool, and garden. I only have one knockout rose, that i keep outside the fence, and it is about 7 feet tall and 7 feet wide, but very pretty. I understand you can heavily trim them to keep them small, but i let this one go since it has a lot of room.

I love your waterfall and the adjacent plantings. You have a mini botannical garden going there.

Tinkster, everything just looks so good. Your hillside has filled in beautifully.

I have a couple of Knockout roses; they look nothing like yours even when they get going.

Absolutely spectacular!

My waterlilies are just barely putting up pads let alone blooming. My Knockouts are budded though. They aren't the prettiest up close but they sure are easy and bloom machines. I like the doubles better.
