I have a variegated Brugmansia (Angel's Trumpet) that has flowers that are also variegated. It's name is Maya, and I got it in trade with another Brugmansia society member. I also have Insignis Pink, Ecuadorian pink, Super Nova (white), Herrighauser Garten, Cherub, Inca sun, Tutu and Charles Grimaldi. Anyone want cuttings?
Now for the full disclosure warning: Brugmansia are poison if any part of the plant is ingested. All parts of the plant contain the tropane alkaloids scopolamine and atropine. The problem is that young people on finding out that the plant is hallucinogenic they may try to acquire it to smoke or otherwise ingest it. Not so long ago a German teenager that drank Brugmansia tea made of a plant (B. X candida ‘Tutu’) in his parents garden. After ingesting the Brugmansia tea he went without further notice out in his parents garden and cut off his penis and tongue with a garden scissor.
In my own case, three young adults came by one day claiming to be plant enthusiasts admiring the Brugs I have growing in the front yard. They were members of the Belarusian church next door so i gave them a couple of rooted cuttings. A year later, two of the three came by asking about the toxicity of the plant as their friend had eaten some of the leaves and was in the hospital. I have no idea if he survived.
