Charlies new Digs

Update on my buddy Charlie.
My son and I built Charlie a cat tree and he about lives there.
Food and water on top, and a great view of the front shade garden and all it's critters scampering around.

Very nice! I like the wood trunks you used. What kind of wood is it?

We made it from the trunk of a dead cedar tree.

Very good. I know Charlie spends a lot of time there.
Mittens has a special window lookout too and loves it there. I've always wanted to add onto ours though and do something like you did.

I've heard of wrapping that sisal rope around PVC (what else) and using the PVC for the posts. They can do the scratching on the ropes.

Esther,
That is what that sissel rope is for. I did wrap it around the one trunk, and he uses everything but it.
And now I'm thinking that I'm gonna take it off, cause I like the look of the trunk.

Happy & lucky kitty to have someone so nice to build him a tower. I've got 8 cat towers around the house & they are used daily.

Hey, Steve! Where ya been? That is one sweet condo. It makes perfect sense to use trunks, my cat always used our cedar posts for sharpening. If I ever get another cat, I'm stealing your idea.
