Need The Lotus Experts !!!

Ok ive had this problem for the past 2 years (yellow leaves) I planted them in 1 bag of regular topsoil the cheap kind from lowes and used this much fertilizer which is the green bottle Osmacoat but im thinking it not over fetilising because i have no algea in the pots and i also topped with pea gravel . I need a solution please . I just have no clue what the problem is. i have 4 diffrent pots of lotus all planted the same way .

Joey, have you ever repotted them? How long have they been in that container? They could be root bound.

Hmmmm...no expert...but, they look burnt to me...Never used the green bottle of osmocote but, I've never had any problems with osmocote burning....You know I bought regular topsoil a few years back...and I had alot of die offs that year-the water got extremely green and it stunk to high heaven...so I've gone back to just plain ol' yard soil(of course I'm always putting in new ponds so I always have soil)...

Did you do the steel wool tip I've advise?

They look like they need iron. (Chlorosis)

So try a cotton ball sized wad of plain old steel wool.

Also, if the pH of the soil is too high, it could interfere with the absorption of existing iron/manganese/minerals in the soil.

I just got me some ironite at lowes how much should i use its the liquid kind that you would use a garden hose with its all they had im thinking about 2 tablespoons per pot .
