Very cool indeed!  It's fabulous that someone cares about and knows how to save plants.  I bet there are many here like myself who envy this passion and the great facilities used to help Mother Nature out a bit.

I've been to Kew gardens. The Brits are lovely nuts. They have this long lane bordered by trees. Each tree has a brass tag showing the latin name, the common name, who planted the tree, and when, and where it was collected.   o(:-)
Libraries may have been created by the Irish, but librarians are all Brits. :)

In one of the hothouses, they have the last specimen of a rare cycad that was collected in Africa in 1845!!!  :o
I wouldn't re-pot that plant for all the tea in China.

I love the teenie waterlily, and am not surprised that they have it at Kew Gardens.

Didn't Craig send some of his moptop hybrids over there?

Good article.  It's amazing how certain things, as water gardening, doesn't require a degree.  Botany is something that can be appreciated and practiced by anyone.  More detailed work is left to the experts.

You can get a degree in botany. And you can get a degree in Landscape Architecture. (and Design)
I've been taking some courses and finally getting another degree besides what I already have.  8)

But yes, water gardening doesn't require a degree, all though some people try to make it into rocket science.  ;)
