I didn't get a chance to take a full photo today but here is one I posted a week or so ago that shows it in the background...

That's a Sutherland Gold Sambucus (Elderberry) in front of it to make it pop.

I also have several Dwarf Russian Sages (
Perovskia atriplicifolia x abrotanoides 'Little Spire') in front.
There are some Agastaches, Pink Poodle Echinacea, Fern Leaf Peony, Coreopsis Rosea, Angelina Sedum, Variegated Moor Grass,
Villa Taranto Japanese Maple, ornamental variegated clover, Lysimachia japonica ‘Minutissima’ , native Prickly Pear, and Tamarix planted in this same bed.
(not mentioning all the evergreens such as Hillside Creeper Pine and Monkey Puzzle Tree.)

And I am forgetting a bunch of stuff cuz it's so late.

As you can see, everything is planted with plenty of room to grow into their mature size.
I still have at least a year to go until the perennials are mature, and many shrubs won't mature for years more.
If you're not a patient sort, gardening and landscaping isn't for you.
