Understanding sequence external pumps
« on: May 31, 2010, 09:55:11 AM »
We are considering two plumbing circuits for our pond and are looking at pump options. I am trying to see the difference between the 750, 1000, and 4000 series by sequence. It looks ro me as though the main difference is the power consumption and inlet/outlet diameters. What am I missing? I could buy 2 750 series 4200 gph pumps for the same price as a 1000 series 3300 gph or 4000 series 3600 gph. I personally like the idea of 2 pumps so we're never without one unless both fail simultaneously!

Thanks in advance.

Jessica I'm using a 4200 sequence pump in our new pond along with a 1,300 gallon pump for the skimmer...I think its the last day of the sale--but, Billy has the sequence 4200 on sale in the dealers forum right now for an unbelievable price....you may try to email him to get in touch with him in time to take advantage of his sale-to do this I had to go to Koishack and email him--I couldn't find an email link here for him...but, I don't see how on earth you could beat his price-I ordered mine last night--also ordering my bulkhead fittings from him too since his price has been the cheapest I have found on those too....He is a great guy to do business with-I bought my bds from him last year..speaking of bottom drains--I believe he is having a clearance on those too...
