That is great, Vickie. My yellow floating heart hasn't bloomed yet. That bloom will turn to seeds. You can save them as a back-up in a jar of water. They won't sprout till Spring.
Happy ponding,
Scott o(

My floating heart invades my other marginal pots with all the runners. I have to rip it out at times so it does not take over.
If you fertilize, it will produce more blooms.

Guess I should repot mine back up. LOL
It's still floating in the shallows from when the koi dug it up.
It's doing good ... getting new growth & such, no blooms though.

How cool is this?  That plant started out as one tiny start I got from a friend at a pond shop.  I love seeing how it's spread across the country (even if I didn't do it all...  o(:-) )

That's a nice plant.  I don't know how that plant behaves in colder weather, but with our year round warm weather, that plant turned into an invasive weed.  It started choking out my waterlilies, so I ended up tossing them all out.

You could hire my caterpillars. They don't leave any water celery in sight  >:(-  I never see the butterflies anymore, only the dang caterpillars and they always go for my water lily buds before they open too!
My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!
