Pond liner sources in Western Washington?
« on: June 24, 2010, 05:30:36 AM »
Good morning!
Anyone know of any good sources for 45mil EPDM or other hi-quality pond liner in SW Washington State?  I can go to sites such as Pondliners.com, but it appears that our order (approx. 40' X 25', not absolutely sure yet) will go over 150# and that means they want to ship it via semi-truck.  Which probly won't work very well delivered to our rural street address...

So, willing to pay a little more than online prices at a physical store where we can just pick it up, or maybe someone knows of a local e-tailer and has some ideas for delivery?  I thought maybe have it delivered to a friend whos address is more readily available, or what have you.

Thanks!  Will probly have some more questions soon.  After two half-vast attempts at building a pond, we're trying again and I'd like to get this one right.

I don't know of any local vendors in your state but you can purchase the same liner from a local roofing supply vendor much cheaper than a pond supply vendor and scrub the pond side to remove any added coatings.
Option #2 would be to order on line and set it up as a pick up at the nearest trucking terminal.

Western Supply on 4th or 6th Ave. South down by the stadiums is where I bought my Firestone 45 mil roofing membrane...  I bought a 50X20 foot piece 8 years ago for about 36 cents per sq.ft.....

We ended up driving to Portland.  Bought 1000 sq. ft. 45 mil EPDM at ACF West.  Less than 50 cents/sq. ft.  The fish were pretty miffed at us for sticking them in garbage cans for five days, but it's been almost a week now and they seem to be getting back to normal behavior.
